Hoopla Library ID
When the Hoopla Library ID is set to zero this means your library does not use Hoopla or has not been set up to use the Hoopla API integration.
If your library subscribes to Hoopla, please reach out to Marmot staff for proper configuration in Pika. Marmot will contact Midwest Tapes for your library’s Hoopla Library ID and enable the API functionality in Pika.
When the Hoopla Library ID is added for your library, the API functionality is enabled. The Hoopla API functionality is detailed in the Hoopla Handling and Interaction documentation.
Hoopla Settings table
Unique Hoopla Settings will need to be added if your library limits any formats or has a max price for formats.
Use the Add New button is to add a new line to the table. Use the Hoopla Format drop down to choose the format you would like to limit.
The Hoopla Max. Price can used to suppress all formats that are the listed max price or higher. The price of zero means there are no restrictions. The default setting is zero.
Setting the Hoopla Max. Price to 0.01 will suppress all items of a given format that are not free.
Exclude and Include Title options
The Exclude Parental Advisory Titles, Exclude Titles with Profanity, and Include Titles for Children only options can be used to limit holdings for certain audiences. This option is typically used for search scopes limited to children’s materials or children’s OPACs.
Exclude Parental Advisory Titles will exclude any titles that have PA warning in the Hoopla Extract Information.
Exclude Titles with Profanity will exclude any titles that are designated with a profanity flag on a Hoopla Extract Information.
Include Titles for Children only will include only titles flagged with the children field in the Hoopla Extract Information.
Clear Hoopla Settings
The Clear Hoopla Settings button will clear all current settings. Use red circle under Actions to remove settings for individual Hoopla Formats.
