CAS Single Sign On Configuration

The purpose of CAS is to permit a user to access multiple applications while providing their credentials only once. It also allows web applications to authenticate users without gaining access to a user's security credentials, such as a password.

The information need to configure CAS has to be provided by the host library to Marmot.  The CAS server  will also need to provide information needed to authenticate the patron in the ILS.

The CAS Single Sign On functionality was built specifically for a single library. At this time, Marmot cannot offer this integration for any libraries other than the library it was built for.

Go to Pika Configuration and Library Systems from the left sidebar.

Click the Library Id number, or the Edit link to gain access to the Library Systems page.

Click on the CAS Single Sign On tab.

CAS Host

The CAS Host is provided by your library.  This will be the CAS login URL for your library. It will be the path for your CAS server.

CAS Port

The CAS Port is provided by your library.  This will be the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Port.

CAS Context

The CAS Context gets appended to the CAS Host URL, and it gets included into the https login that the patron will be directed to when they login.

CAS Login Display

This is an example of the login for the CAS.  This is customized by Marmot.  This allows the CAS users to authenticate with their library barcode or student ID.  Clicking on this login will take you to the Central Authentication Service (CAS) login.
