Configuration options for the WorldCat section of the Interlibrary Loaning section of the Library System.

WorldCat Configuration

Go to Pika Configuration and Library Systems from the left sidebar.  

Open

Click the Library Id number, or the Edit link to access to the Library Systems page.

Open

Click to expand the Interlibrary Loaning tab.

Click the WorldCat tab.  

Repeat in WorldCat

The Repeat in WorldCat option enables the WorldCat option as a search source in the dropdown menu in the search. When the Repeat in WorldCat option is enabled, patrons will be directed to a search in WorldCat for their search term if the WorldCat search source is chosen.

Below is an example of the Repeat in WorldCat option enabled for a library. When the search for the desired term is executed with the WorldCat search source, the user is redirected to that search in the WorldCat interface associated with the library.

WorldCat URL

The WorldCat URL is the URL that corresponds to you library’s WorldCat interface. This field is required to enable the Repeat search in WorldCat functionality.

WorldCat QT

The WorldCat QT is the additional query term that facilitates searching in WorldCat. This value should be provided by WorldCat and typically includes a designation of your library’s WorldCat interface.
