The following documentation details how the Added in the Last facet is populated using data points from the underlying records.

Added in the Last details

The Added in the Last facet references the oldest related record within the search scope of a grouped work, which sets the added in the last value(s) for the work. This is based on the date added field within the MARC export as defined within the indexing profiles. If the date added information is not included within the export, Pika refers to the date the record was first detected within Pika.

The Added in the Last facet is based on a group work level and not bibliographic level or format level. Any related record will contribute to the Added in the Last facet.

Facet Date Values

  • If a first record for the work was added yesterday then the value would only contribute all the facet values of Year, Six Months, Quarter, 2 Months, Month, Week, and Day.

  • If a first record for the work was added within the last 7 days but not yesterday it would contribute the facet values of Year, Six Months, Quarter, 2 Months, Month, and Week.

  • If the first record for the work was added within the last 30 days but not within the last 7 days it would contribute the facet values of Year, Six Months, Quarter, 2 Months, and Month.

  • If the first record of the work was added within the last 60 days but not within the last 30 days it would contribute the facet values of Year, Six Months, Quarter, and 2 Months.

  • If the first record of the work was added within the last 90 days it would contribute to the facet values of Year, Six Months, and Quarter.

  • If the first record of the work was added with the last 180 days but not within the last 90 days it would contribute the facet values of Year, and Six Months.

  • If the date value for the earliest record in the work is 365 days ago it will contribute the facet value of Year.

  • If a record has an status of ‘On Order’ it will contribute the facet value of On Order. If the Pika library or location setting Include On Order Records In All Date Added Facet Values is turned off, On Order will be the only value contributed to the facet for this record.
