Identify a Mapped Drive on a Windows Device

These instructions will show you were go to see what mapped drives or server files you have access to.

• Open File Explorer (the file folder icon on your taskbar).

• Look at the menu along the left side of file Explorer and locate “This PC”.

  • Click on This PC to see the

  • Your menu might look something like this:

  • This user has access to “quickbooksfiles (\\accounting) (U:)”, located just below Windows (C:)

• A desktop shortcut can be created easily by left-clicking (and holding) on the quickbooksfiles entry and dragging it to the desktop.
