This documentation describes how to reset the password for your library account.

Reset Password from Default Password

Log in to your Catalog Account

Visit your library’s catalog homepage. You can find your library’s catalog homepage here if you cannot find it on your library’s website or homepage. Log in to your account.

Enter your Library Card Number or Student ID Number and the Default Password that was provided to you by your library. Click on the Login button.

The Update Password box will appear. Enter your old/default password provided by your library, your new chosen password. and re-enter your newly chosen password. You will be able to click on the eye icons to show or hide your passwords as you’re entering them. Click on the Update Password button when finished.

 

The password cannot contain common trivial patterns. For example:

  • Consecutively repeating a character three or more times (for example, aaaa, aaaax7gp, x7gp3333).

  • Consecutively repeating a set of up to four characters two or more times (for example, abab, abcabc, abcdabcd, ababx7gp, x7gp3434, and words that have repeating letters like banana or queue).

While changing your password, you can choose whether to show or hide the information as you type with the eye icons on the right hand side. You will also see some help text about how many characters are needed as well as which fields are required.

When re-entering the new password, the system can tell if it does not match. In that case that the passwords as entered do not match, you will see help text with additional instructions.

Once you click on the Update Password button, you will get a system message that you have updated your password correctly. Next, the system will automatically bring you to your checked out page on your account.

Change Password From My Account

Once logged into your account, you can click on the My Account tab to get access to reset an existing password to a new password.

Some libraries do not offer the option to reset your password in the account settings. If you do not see this option, your library doesn’t allow password reset in the account.

Go to the My Account tab. Click on the Account Setting link.

Scroll down to the Update Password tab. Enter your current or old password. Enter and re-enter your new password. Click on the Update Password button. Once your new password is entered, you can log out and log back in with the new password.

While you are typing, the password information will be hidden. If you type the information incorrectly, you will get a message to enter the same value again.

Reset My Password

Once you have changed your password for the first time, you will be prompted for your library card number and updated password to access your account. You will be able to reset your password at any time or reset a forgotten password using an email address.

Log in to your Catalog Account

Visit your library’s catalog homepage. You can find your library’s catalog homepage here if you cannot find it on your library’s website or homepage. Click on the Login button to open the login pop-up.

Click on the Reset My Password link under the Password box.

The information requesting your Library Card Number or Student ID Number will match what you see on your login page for your library.

Enter the requested information in the field and click on the Reset My Password button.

You will receive a message in your account that will let you know that an email was set to your email address with a reset link.

You receive an email at the email address associated with your library patron record. Click on the password reset link in the email you received to reset your password.

Once you click on the link to reset your password, you will be directed to the Reset My Password page to add your new password. You have some password suggestion text for your new password. You will be able to click on the eye icons to show your passwords. Click on the Reset My Password button. You will now be able to login into your account with your new password.
