  • What is currently in place

  • Any changes desired by libraries

• Itypes/Icodes

  • How are I-types currently used?

    • Shared or individual?

      • A combination of both. Some i-types are shared and some are more site specfic

      • Site specific have site codes at the beginning

    • Complex or Simple (book is a book)

      • Mostly more simple (book is a book)

      • Might use location codes to help facilitate different loan rules for new books versus lucky day

    • Material type or length?

      • Combination of material type and checkout length

      • Add more recently due to increased table limits

  • Are any icode fields used?

    • Suppression, weeding

    • Boulder icode1 for new materials and spine sticker

  • Impacts on stats gathering?

    • Web management reports

      • Location code

  • Any pain points in current structure?

    • Lisa Merly mentioned workarounds often

      • Checkouts versus renewals

    • Tim mentioned a feeling of there seems like there is a better way for stats

    • Complication of loan rules and determining them

    • Sleuthing of problems is highly complex

  • How are p-types used?

    • Individual (confirm)

      • Confirmed

    • Complexity versus Simplicity

      • Residency designation

      • Age designation

      • Loan rule designation

    • Pcode1 Residency

    • Pcode2 unused

    • Pcode3 is birth year

  • Impacts on stats gathering

    • Ptypes mostly for stats and municiple type reporting

  • Any pain points in current structure?

    • Broomfield would like to clean theirs up

• Branches and Pickup locations

  • How many pickup locations per site?

    • Boulder has 4 (main)

    • Louisville has 2 (3 in the system)

    • Broomfield has 1

    • Longmont 1

    • Loveland is 1

    • Layfayette 1

  • Paging Priorities?

    • Pickup location gets paged first

    • @brandon will check on the paging priority setting

  • Agency codes used?

    • Yes

  • Any pain points in current structure?

    • Louisville pain point/unable to place prospector holds for pickup at Superior

  • Idea

    • Transit slips from courier codes

• Shelf code and site code formats

  • Any pain points in current structure?
