  • Work through Sierra configuration areas to determine the following;

    • What is currently in place

    • Any changes desired by libraries

    • Any suggestions I have

  • Round table participation

  • Make no assumptions

  • Mindset of circulation rather than cataloging

Configuration Areas

    • SMS and Voice notices

      • Telerenew

        • Confusion about ability to renew library card

        • Older demographic uses

        • SMS notices in general have a lower level of use

      • Server sites in Longmont

      • Communication about unsuccessful notices will come from Marmot instead of Lori

      • The monthly report goes out to all libraries

      • Sign up method is patron text or integrated webforms

    • Any pain points?

    • Idea

      • Patron notice preference for both SMS and Voice

        • Lisa mentioned that they tend to leave notice preference alone

  • Staff User accounts, User group pools

    • What is already in place?

      • General circ logins used at Louisville

      • Individual logins used by other sites

      • User group pool is shared

        • Only run into issues with “no available sessions” once in the last few years

    • Any pain points?

      • Due to the complexity of the loan rule determiner it makes things hard to read
