Notify Me Tags

Notify Me tags cannot be disabled; tags are part of features within the Libby app designed to help patrons track their reading.

The Libby user experience is designed not to create a sense of expectation that the library will purchase a title once a user tags it. Instead, adding a Notify Me tag to a title allows users to keep track of titles they are interested in and automatically get notified if they are available in the future.

The user can use tags to build a list of interested titles/authors/series, and that info will be shared in Marketplace for you to review. You can choose what you decide to do next with the information.

Users can only place one tag per title across all their libraries. Notify Me tags data is aggregated and anonymized at the title level.

Patron Interests Dashboard

In the Patron Interests dashboard, you can also see a graph that shows the total number of users who added at least one Notify Me tag during a selected period.

How to access the Patron Interests dashboard

  1. Sign into OverDrive Marketplace

  2. Click on the Insights link at the top of the toolbar

  1. Click on the Patron Interests tab above Insights.

  1. You can use the Save PDF button.

You can also update the Filter Activity and limit it to your library’s advantage account and a specific date or period type.

You can also see the Titles with the most interest, the Purchase impact, the Notify Me usage, and the Notify Me tags added per user.

Note: Users' Notify Me tags do not display individual patron information. It is only the number of users who added Notify Me tags during a period. Each bar is divided by the number of tags added per user.

Note: Even if you do not monitor the Notify Me tags data or make purchases based on this data, users who tag titles will still have the benefits of receiving automatic notifications when your library acquires titles of interest through your other collection development workflows.
