Project information consolidation

  • Cataloging conversations and work on the guidelines still has more work to go, but the issues don’t seem insurmountable.

  • All points contact issues for Boulder have been resolved

  • C.J. taking on theming work for individual Pika sites. Ubuntu server migration taking place on Dec 13, 2022. Meeting of the Pika Admin group on December 21 will be the last meeting of that group.

Updating epic/story/task statuses

Bi-weekly Update

  • Winding down the transition project

  • Per library staff town halls completed

  • Members of working groups will be moved into their equivalent Marmot committees

  • Cataloging conversations and work on the guidelines still has more work to go. A draft of these guidelines should be ready for next week’s cataloging transition meeting.

  • Pika theming updates are underway and C.J. should have some mockups available for review in the coming week

    • Because we’re still waiting on some final logo and theming decisions from some sites, we’ll have a shorter window for review for those libraries that haven’t provided necessary information yet.

  • Website content and Google Drive content. Everyone will still have access to content, but Marmot staff are working to determine the best way to preserve and provide access to those materials. No access will be lost prior to the website shutting down.

  • Most Flatirons vendor contracts are either pending final signatures or are completed.

  • Marmot membership agreements are processing through city procurement procedures.

  • Pika Ubuntu server migration scheduled for Tuesday, 12.13.22.

  • Pika test sites with new domains e.g. boulder2.marmot.org are now available and browseable

  • Prepping for Shoutbomb server migration

    • Currently setting up local server VM with all scripts and services

  • Initial set of Tableau (statistics) reports for go live

    • Circulation by location code report

    • Lends and Borrows report (where courier is used)

    • Percentage checked out by location code/i-type

    • Turnover by location code/i-type

    • Hold to item/order ratio report

  • Found that the patron load profile (pov) was not loading the PIN fields from incoming files. Instead it was taking the name field and copying it over to the PIN field. We have removed the line from the loader that copied the field and added a new line to pay attention to the incoming PIN fields.

Winding down the project

  • Meetings of this group

    • Wrap up meeting in the new year.

    • Post go-live meeting on January 6

    • Retrospective on January 20

      • Include or schedule separate meeting to reflect/document on how Jira/Confluence/Advanced Roadmaps worked or didn’t work

  • Slack channel

    • Perhaps archive in February; discuss at retrospective
