Regular meeting activities

  • Ubuntu server migration updates

    • attempting night of 12.13.22

    • Please complete any settings changes (library system or location) by NOON on 12.09 for inclusion on new server. Anything made after this point won’t be captured

      • User data will be copied day of migration (12.13.22) as an FYI.

  • Review any questions from last few meetings

    • Browse categories/widgets

    • Grouping logic

    • Merging/unmerging records?

  • Hoopla setting review

    • Several libraries have possibly stale settings for Hoopla suppression that we might want to remove.

      • We’ll make updates after the migration to the new server.

  • FTP server credentials have been sent

    • Please respond with your network IPs so we can make allowances on the firewall!

  • Other training topics for next/last meeting?

    • Anything specific the group would like to review?

    • Rescheduling options (Ashley will be out 12.22)

Theming Changes Discussion

  • Removing any links to other FLC sites branded as such

    • Does anyone want to keep information about the other libraries on the MLN2 cluster? If so, it should be edited to remove FLC branding

  • Boulder changes

    • No big changes, logo has been provided

    • @CJ O'Hara can use some of the existing CSS from Boulder’s site

  • Broomfield changes

    • more whitespace, search bar on the left hand side

    • logo provided already

  • Lafayette changes

    • cleaner looking browse categories, rounded edges

    • better spacing for subcategories

    • new font?

    • horizontal logos are better

    • taller left hand link buttons, no gradient

    • liked basalt and anne arundel’s sites

  • Longmont changes

    • still finalizing options for logo

    • englewood’s style for browse categories

    • taller buttons, but maybe do away with the images

  • Louisville changes

    • Square logo with banner image style ala Englewood

    • sidebar option enabled

    • large browse category buttons, single color, rounded edges, no dark outline

    • utilize subcategories better

  • Loveland changes

    • simple interface that matches the library website

    • remove links up top (in system message)

    • no gradient in the left hand links

    • more closely align left hand links with library website
