  • What are they gaining?

    • More voice in Pika development as well as with Sierra, eContent, and the overall direction of Marmot as a consortium.

    • Larger support team and longer support hours

    • Expertise in various areas of consulting/services

    • Expanded training resources, including workshops and conferences (such as the annual Marmot User Group conference)

    • CAL institutional memberships for each of the six libraries

  • What are they losing?

    • Insular group interactions will be mostly dissolved, at least formally

    • Autonomy to make system changes without two-way communication

  • What’s staying the same?

    • Lending/borrowing primarily between the six libraries

    • Relying on Prospector as the resource-sharing backbone outside of server cluster

    • Elevations Carriers courier service

    • Overdrive content will continue through Front Range Downloadable Library
