Who should attend: Library staff that use Islandora for the Marmot Digital Archive.

Attendees will learn about basic navigation of Islandora, how core functionality and structure impact their use of the Islandora interface, key differences between legacy Islandora and modern Islandora, and a detailed review of taxonomies in Islandora. |

Islandora : Islandora is the the open-source content management platform that supports the Marmot Digital Archive. Marmot recently updated from the legacy version of Islandora to modern Islandora, which has many upgraded features and utilizes functionality of its underlying Drupal software. |
Taxonomy : Controlled vocabulary used by Islandora to define available fields in metadata records and how they behave |
Parent and child objects : Islandora’s core structure for objects is built on parent records with child media objects attached. |
Collection : Collections contain digital archive objects and are arranged hierarchically, with parent collections and subcollections. |
