This training is designed to provide Pika Administrators at Marmot libraries with a deeper understanding of how to administer their library’s Pika site. Training will include a deep dive into the library system, library location configurations, and how settings drive functionality in Pika. Special attention will be given to settings that relate specifically to Marmot member libraries in their use and administration of Pika.

Library System: The section where Pika configuration settings are applied for the overarching library system 

Location: The section where Pika configuration settings are applied for the branches that belong to a library system

Records owned: settings in the library system and locations that denote what is owned by the library within the consortium

Records to include: settings in the library system and locations that denote what records to include from the ILS and external sideloads

ILS and Account information: settings in the library system that control actions from the ILS, such as holds, account updates, login settings, etc. 

Searching: section where search settings are applied in the library system and library locations pages.
