[MLN1 and MLN2] Sierra 6.5.0_4 Upgrade Complete
Sierra should automatically clear the jarcache when you open the software on 5/5. However, you may still need to manually clear the jarcache tomorrow if you have trouble opening or logging into Sierra. The instructions for clearing the jarcache are below.
Clearing the jarcache
The steps to clear this out are available HERE. If your staff computers use Deep Freeze, you will need to thaw the machine, clear the jarcache, and freeze it again.
Sierra Theme Updates
As a reminder, Sierra's theming has been updated with this release. The new themes can be viewed on the Sierra Theme Changes document, which also includes a link to the documentation on how to change the Sierra theme if you're interested.
The Sierra 6.5.0_4 upgrade will occur after hours tonight (Monday, May 4), starting at 10 pm MT. Sierra should be available to everyone for opening on the 5th.

Sierra 6.5.0_4 (Sierra 6.5 Maintenance Release 1) was released earlier this year, and we would like to update both Sierra servers to the latest version.
A couple of highlights from the new 6.5.0_4 version are below:
Patron Checkout Limits by item type, item location, and library location
Open and edit the patron record from the item record
Update the inventory date from Check-in
Fix for the YTDCIRC and LYCIRC zeroing known issue
New Sierra theme, to match Innovative's move to Clarivate.

We always like to wait a bit to let the bugs get worked out, so we have tentatively scheduled the Sierra upgrade for Monday, May 4, with a start time of 10 pm MT. It will require about an hour of downtime on each server. Marmot staff will perform the upgrade on your behalf.
